Ahem! Ahem! It’s just me – coughing through the dust and the cobwebs of what once was a consistently written blog.
Lotttttttts of things have changed since the last blog post (11 months ago) – and we won’t get into those details right now, but I do apologize for the lack of content but also thank YOU for sticking around and still stopping by to read the past posts ๐
Today I wanted to stop by and share one of my FAVORITE resources for the 2nd semester of school! Whether you are using this resource for teaching non-fiction, science, writing, etc… – there are SO many great uses to keep your students engaged in the classroom.
When I was teaching kindergarten, each year we went to the zoo for our annual field trip. I always wanted to incorporate the educational aspects from the trip once we returned, which eventually led this bundle into creation!
Zoo Animal research was introduced to my students and they.were.HOOKED. They were begging for more animal information. They were craving the non-fiction in their writing station. They were absolutely in love with this new pack!
The pack includes non-fiction full size (8.5 x 11) informational cards with the image as well as facts about that particular animal.
I would print the normal size posters to use whole group BUT I would also shrink and print 2 (and sometimes 4) to a page and put on a ring or clip up in the writing station!
During whole group research – I drew these posters and we added information with the group:
After seeing the excitement and thirst for more animal non-fiction information, I decided to create an entire bundle with various animal groups and habitats.
Each pack includes the animal posters as well as a student booklet OR blank writing templates for student choice.
Each pack is sold individually in my shop OR you can purchase the bundle for a HUGE discount!
I hope your 2020 has been off to a great start ๐
My goal – to not allow the cobwebs to build back up on this little internet space of mine! ๐
