Happy Friday Friends!
We have made it through our first week of summer…. and I thought it was the perfect time to link back up with Kacey from Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my five random things from the week!
It’s been a while since I have linked up… but here we go!
Here is North Texas…. we went from Winter… to a month of flooding… and straight into the heat of summer!
Last weekend we officially hit 90 degrees and it was time for some swimming!
We visited my sister-in-law and her family and we definitely took advantage of the swimming pool!
I’ve always enjoyed the outdoors whether it be fishing, hunting, or whatever else outside…. but being a mom to boys…. that means you have to get used to the creepy crawlers and wiggly squiggly things! (most of them!)
After our swim over the weekend we ventured down to the pond behind the house and boy did we find some good bait! (I mean cute tadpoles!)
Y’all…. these were the BIGGEST tadpoles I have ever seen! We caught as many as we could…. observed them… stared at them…. and then yes…. I even went fishing with them!
(I hear they are *excellent* bait!)
Monday rolls around…. the first official day of summer break and my littlest guy wakes up from nap with a fever. Are you kidding me?!
He did not miss a single day of daycare this year…..
but decides to kick off summer with a trip to the urgent care!
I was pretty sure it was strep throat…. since my oldest went through MULTIPLE bouts of it last year before ending up getting his tonsils taken out….I can spot it from a mile away!
With summer here…. and two very active boys in the house…. we can NOT just sit around!
While sickness slowed us down ( for maybe half a day!) we have to get pretty busy and creative around here!
We have been painting ( sunflowers – courtesy of Jaxon), nerf gun wars (yes… they get dangerous), building giant forts in the living room with every blanket we own, and playing outside (before we die of heat stroke)
While I have been bogged down with Grad School (yes…. still trucking along but graduating in December!), switching grade levels, and focusing on some family things right now, I did manage to create a new set of Alphabet posters!
Not sure if I’m going back to my animal print themed classroom (I keep searching Pinterest and finding SOOOO many cute themes!) so my ADHD has me changing my mind quite often!
Anyway…. if you want these for FREE…. just hop on over the my Facebook page and click on the “Fan Freebie”

I also updated the cover of my Facebook page to officially say that I am making the switch to Kindergarten.
(yes, it is purposefully not centered in order to fit my Facebook cover)
I have had quite a few comments and emails about if I am going to switch my blog name….
simple answer… NO. (at least not for now!)
I will definitely keep blogging but it will most likely all be geared toward Kinder now! (maybe a little first grade stuff here and there…. seeing as how my oldest will be in first grade next year!)
{insert mommy tears…. because this canNOT be happening already!}
AND…..
For those of you that purchased my Mega Math Bundle….. the next pack WILL be added by this weekend!
I apologize for the delay!
Have a HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

SMART idea using tally marks on the medicine to keep track! Never thought of that and would need to do so for myself, as I have the tendency to get some brain farts! Love your safari alphabet by the way!

Looks like this is a recipe for a lot of fun and games to play with your children. Games have always kept my children entertained. We play a hand full of board games on a regular basis. Such a lot of fun to have with the whole family while enjoying each others company. Keep up the ideas, love them, thanks.
