Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms today! I hope your day was fabulous with the ones you love!
I got to double-dip into the goodies today…. not only did I get to celebrate Mother’s Day with MY mom and my boys, but I turned the big 3-0 today! Yikes! Every 5-6 years I get to celebrate mother’s day AND my birthday together!
(I also put my TpT store on sale for this weekend to celebrate!)
To start my day I received this sweet card from Jaxon this morning!
(He wrote this last night!)
(( I love how he wrote his first AND last name))
I also got to spend the day with my own mom, who I don’t get to see that often as she lives down in Houston!
(We got caught in a rainstorm during the day…. there was NO hope for the hair!)
We have also been having LOTS of rain and stormy weather (lots of tornadoes and tornado warnings)
We were standing outside this evening watching this storm roll in… (as they were telling us to take cover!)

On another note….. we have 19 days left of this year which means 19 more days of out-of-this-world behavior! (You know what I’m talking about)
These kids are doing things that they would NEVER normally do!
So…. a few years ago I started to doing “Behavior Splits” instead of “Banana Splits”.
I usually select a 10-day period (I pick the last 10 days) but you can select any 10-day period!
Each day if the students have a great day, they receive the item for that day that goes towards their “Behavior Split”.
At the end of the 10 days, however many parts of the Behavior split they have, those are the items they receive. (Example: If they only receive 7 out of 10 “great” days, then they will only get 7 out of 10 items for the Behavior Splits!)
You can use you own system or click on the picture below to download this simple calendar that students can keep up with and add their own picture pieces!
Hopefully this will help you calm the End-of-Year madness and have some yummy treats!!!
(You can have the items in any order, I just usually start with the basic and work up…. bowl, spoon, banana, etc…)
Alright… I’m off to watch the weather as we have more severe weather heading our way!
Have a great week!!!!
