Hello Sweet Friends!
(and happy Groundhog Day!)
My new little blog is feeling so neglected right now! By the end of each night….I am just wiped out! (I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling like this….right?!) I tell myself to get on here and post all.the.time, but sleep always wins!
This past week, we have been having some SERIOUS fun with r-controlled vowels! From pirate ARRR and pARking cARs to PopcORn fun, my kiddos really get the r-controlled patterns and are reading these words like champs!
We started off with /ar/ and my kiddos became little drivers! They had to select a cAR and determine if it would be into a pARking lot or if it had to be towed (a word without the /ar/ sound!)
Then we ventured into the /or/ sound! We brainstormed all of our /or/ words using popcORn!
